Despite the diminutive size of our village there have been many events and occasions reported in the local press. Some are notable because it is the first time an event occurred in the village, others are simply happy or commemorative occasions.

There have also been a number of shocking and tragic events during the last couple of hundred years. Some were reported in local newspapers others are the subject of local 'folk law'. In some cases witnesses and the families affected by these events still live in the village or local area and we appreciate their kind cooperation in allowing the events to be documented on this site.
